Echoes lost

Echoes lost

A Poem by Rosebroken

You judged too harshly,
Gave up and walked away,
Before you reached beneath,
The surface, the scars, insecurities and tears,
All the walls constructed to protect,
From those like you, when we're the same,
All flawed and a little broken.
But I sought the moon,
And you chose to chase stars, long dead.
