When it Rains

When it Rains

A Poem by Alicia Nicole

Its rains and it pours to fill the gaps consuming my soul

And the time it passes so slow
Its like the way your blue eyes shined that November night
It was you and me
Finally alone

Waves crashed against the shore

I worry
I plead

The way your lips deceived me
The way your heart stole me
The way it was to be with you
Finally for once it was just you and me and no one was around to break the silence

Laying alone with you beside me
I could have sworn it was a dream
When your lips barley brushed me
I could have mistaken it for the cool air that tousled your hair

I carrsed your exppsed skin
I softly kissed youir lips
It wasn't what anyone would ever think
Another sexual scheme
But I know
Deep down inside
It was love
It was my chance to take you away and show you how much you mean to me

When you saved me
It was my chance

It has always been my chance.
It was always my time to make you mine

If I only I could have opened my eyes
If only I could have seen that you where standing right in front of me
As always
I never saw you when it mattered the most
