My Letter to God

Today God I doubted you

But I don’t understand why

I was not like this before

But in came college and

I changed

Am I doomed God?

Where has my love and affirmation

Gone?

I feel lost following a path

Who’s light flickers and

Is fogged by mist

I take a deep breath and feel nothing

I feel cold

I feel like there is a hole

Inside

Ice burning in my gut

God if you are out there

Please come back

And warm my heart

And make me whole again

For  knowledge is tempting

But knowing to doubt you

Is not my game

Please take me back

Take my hand

And take me back towards the path

Were there lies the fire that once

Warmed my heart and brought joy

In my eyes
