A Poem by Gresenthaul

Wall of Blood

By Refujio V. Gresenthaul

For thy only years have passed

it seems like just yesterday that

this wall of blood was still alive

oh great wall before me

why , oh why

must you stand before me

what have I done to thy

Oh child of mine

i am but a wall who stands

a mere distance tall

oh great wall of mine

why did you take those

dear to mine

It was not me who drew blood

but there lies a greater wall who

took those dear to thy

The Wall of Blood!

Oh that Wall of Blood!

that is who

not me

I am but merely concrete and steel

the Wall of Blood

is yet to fear

whose arms are not of concrete or steel

but of blood and tender veil

Though tempting dreams ly over

thy great height

one’s warm blood

is thee walls

great delight
