Irreplaceable

Irreplaceable

A Poem by Helrac

I think that I must be the smoke,

the way you blow it at me

and out of you.

Thick and full of poison,

something you love,

which you hate.

Separation

causing such a physical sensation.

An ache

a need

withdrawl.

Comforting you,

consuming thought and time.

I'm jealouse of your cigarettes.

I wish that you were as easily replaceable.

This poem possesses dualism of sorts..... Cigarettes and smoke!
The ending was my favorite part.... Well done!

I wrote a poem...called Sugar and Sun...very much like this one here that you wrote. There's something personal about puffing away on someone for a fix of nicotine.....you can put the smoke out...but you are always left with a craving.

I like a cigar on a rare occasion. People do love the cigarettes. Costly and will give you a bad death. I like the way you told this poem. Made it feel real and understandable. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

About
I didn't intend on writing poetry. I set down to journal one day and this was how my thoughts came out. This seems to be the only way they come out which at times is really frustrating. Not sure what .. more..
