BeautifulA Poem by Beautifully_Anarchistmy attempt at romance, very sweet
Beautiful
Could I just bask in your light, and let its beauty blind me?
Just sing along to your melody, let its song charm me? I’m here in your shadow, Happy to hold your breath, Because that would mean, I was holding onto you at all. Could I just live in this dream, and be taken somewhere else?
Just spend my time in this illusion, and be fooled once again? I believe this could be real, If only we had any faith left, But I don’t know how to recover, what was lost so long ago. You’re beautiful,
Like glaciers, like skyscrapers, Like your favourite song on the radio. Could I just hear what you say, and be speechless afterwards?
Just laugh at your sarcasms, and smirk because I got it? I’m watching the fireworks, They appear when you smile, I’m dazed by all the colours, you bring into my grey world. Could I just rest my eyes here, and drift upon this silver sea?
Just let you hold me as we sleep, I’m only at peace with you, Though war wages inside me, Please command a ceasefire, You command my world, because you filled it with this light. You’re beautiful,
Like fallen snow, like firefly glow, Like waking up and it being your birthday. I am lost in this beauty, consumed and overwhelmed,
I am buried by this beauty, feel the ceiling coming down. But this beauty revives me, gives me a reason to get up, It fills me with oxygen, but it’s becoming hard to breathe. You’re beautiful,
Like lightning storms, like rose pink dawns, Like coming home after being away too long. You’re beautiful. © 2008 Beautifully_Anarchist |
