Blame

Blame

A Poem by ManyMuses
"

A poem from the struggles I had during my parents divorce.

"

It would be so easy

If there was someone to hate,

Someone to blame,

 Someone to avoid,

Or complain about.

If someone just left, I wouldn't be so lost,

If I had someone to yell at,

Someone to ask why?

If my family just didn't break over time.

 If someone smashed it.

I wouldn't cry as much.

I wouldn't feel as much pain

Because there is no one to blame

But I think that it is good this way

I can still see both,

Can still live with both,

Separately.

I know it will be hard,

Either way.

My family wasn't smashed.

My family was worn away.

Like the grand canyon, until a small stream is left,

Such a strong river, but over time,

It washed away.

But sometimes I still wonder,

What if I had someone to blame?
