I have found you in this room.
Paused in suspense. You had pale, haunted eyes that gazed out the window intense. Those words I heard you whisper, why they didn't make any sense. "A snake in grass hisses, while the owl guards his fence." I stand there as you repeat the rhyme and the room grows very dark. Fear overcomes my soul as I then decide to flee out. Hunted I feel, hunted inside my own house. Blatant it is now that I must move out. I pack my bags in a hurry and then I hear a sickening shrill. I turn around slowly to come face to face with my very worst fear. Anger on your face, your intense glare knows no bounds. "I am the monster! You declared in howl. You lunged forwards to attack, your red eyes glowing in the dark. Teeth bared slightly, your knife rather large. I brace myself for the blade. I was helpless in the incarnate. This was my ending, I just wish I knew how it all started. My eyes squeezed shut, I pushed out as my only defense. Only to feel a rush of air. And then I realized that there wasn't anyone there. "Alex? I here you call concerned from the bottom of the stairs. "What was that noise, come down here please I am getting scared." Trying to relax I chuckle to myself as I head for the door. Only to hear the sound of your voice start to cry from the next room over. "Alex, that wasn't me, do not go down those stairs. I've been up here the whole time, please come here I am getting scared." © 2019 Andre Peterson |
