uncertainty

uncertainty

A Poem by Andre Peterson

The picture is painted red and the room frozen over.
This prison has endless corridors with its lonely souls calling out your name.
A name I wish to forget.
A face that will always be the same.
The emotion is new and raw.
The dreams that comes with are unbearable to me.
This current seems calming, I think aloud.
Blacked gate to freedom.
I've gone numb to the spray hitting my face.
I long for the sparkle that shines just above the surface.
Like a fool, I plunge myself in.
Free from the chaos above.
I see my fingers slipping through your hair.
I recognize the smile that lifts me up.
I've begun to choke.
As if like magic I believe that the world has been left far behind.
A world I wish to forget, a journey I will not miss.
If I was wrong about the beginning, when will I reach the end?
Spare the obvious, a crystal heart is much too precious.
Unbalanced in a world we all find ourselves in.
Take everything you thought you knew.
I never meant for uncertainty.
