Violet LandingsA Poem by Andre Peterson
Oh god, show me her heart.
Let mine no longer falter in the darkness of my desires. With a little bit of pain, I shall understand. With days becoming years, I shall be free. Calm theses blurring memories. Cease the need to breathe in the wake of these modern thieves. Turn the midnight moon into the land which I stand. I regret the motion. I regret the passion I have let out. The dirt on my feet covers the unmistaken lead. Please, let me see. Uncover the greed my heart truly needs. Please let them see. Oh, god show me her heart. Let mine no longer sway within this dream. With a little bit of trust, I shall understand. With no response, I'll slow my pace to hear the ring. Passion brings harmonious Autumn leaves. Like a clock that refuses to stop. The only answer is to be torn apart. Oh, awaken the soul which will lead me away. For this time, I will not stay. Oh, god show me her heart. So mine can finally stay.
