FoolishA Story by Andre Peterson
This is not the first time, and hopefully not the last.
Unknown to me are the hardships that the future will have. It doesn't feel good to jump from my spot. Neither does holding on. I am past the mark. I know the dream will never die. But the love may never last. How foolish was I. To hold onto the past. Stubborn and blind. To wish for something that wasn't mine. I thought I would mean something differnet. I though letting go was unkind. Perhaps Ill start again. Dreamy eyed and free. Hung over a balcony like a fool someone else needs. © 2016 Andre Peterson |
