Eirene's Lullaby

Eirene's Lullaby

A Poem by Andre Peterson
"

This song is inspired by the book: Pendragon. The Merchant of Death. There was a part when Loor was singing a song to her dying mother. I decided to create the actual song.

"
Oh mother, can you see, the stars shining bright?
You used to sing to me of warriors of the night.
They were fearless the were strong; they saved the queen.
But nothing can save you and nothing can save me.
Please know that I'm sorry.
This must be the end.
I only wanted happiness, but now I've lost a friend.
The day is growing old and your eyes have gone dim.
So dream of pleasant summer, so you can finally dance with him.
Goodbye now, farewell.
We'll meet again someday.
So love me tomorrow and I will do the same.
I won't forget your laughter.
I won't forget your grace.
I'll remember you forever.
Your lucent eyes will never erase.
