Wine

Wine

A Poem by Daphne

Sweet-scented agony your lips

Tall and slender, glass figurine

On the bar‘s counter, a bitter kiss

To forget; my story’s heroine

Scarlet and warm, so full of thorns

Chugging down a bottle, whole

For you, who grew horns

Drowning in alcohol
