The Stargazers Dream

A poem about yearning for a person you'll never meet.

A fate set in stone

to be apart forevermore

Miles stretching in between

be they land or sea

The stargazers dream

To see, to feel

That, which nightmares

cast asunder

That ever lucent smile

Which so ironically adorns

the reaper’s face

For life’s; but impending death

As we, by the nightmares cast

forevermore to be apart

Are touched by his cold, gentle kiss

lamenting that we are to never meet
