Holocaust

Holocaust

A Poem by Becky

Their bodies freeze within the night

Their minds become still once day brakes

Their Hearts brake with each hour

Their fingers their hands crumble under each other

Their past is now a faded memory

As their future is burried in the dust

Along with their family

Along with their trust

As the white flag is burned to the ground

Was the red flag burns a mark

On all those who are different

For those who are new

For those who can't stand to see

What others see

Just because we carry a Star

Doesn't mean we should be torn apart

Powerful writing. It's a little bit shaky here and there from lack of punctuation ("their fingers their hands" should have a comma between them) and I think there may be a typo or two. Nonetheless, you've written about a subject that a lot of people would prefer not to think about and you handled it wonderfully. Great job, keep writing!
