Forbidden Fruit
A Poem by
Helen Crutchett
Forbidden
Fruit
Just
one more sip of fine wine
one
more taste of forbidden fruit
one more gamble in the love stakes
then I will give up my addiction
you...

Once it becomes habit, then we're hopeless...
A beautiful write as always.

Briefly laid, lovingly punchy, sharp but kind .. that's addiction in every letter and line.

Dear Helena,
Very nice. Not easy to give up an addiction. We speak brave words when we have been satisfied, but then the craving starts again, and resolve crumbles. We long for "one more taste of forbidden fruit", "and then I will give up my addiction..." Well maybe until the next time.
Greatly enjoyed.
Best regards,
Rick

Being in love with the idea of being in love is the greatest blinder of the heart.
