I Am a Woman in Love With the Setting Stars

I Am a Woman in Love With the Setting Stars

A Poem by Helen Crutchett
"

In the vein of Robert Bly's poem: "A Man in Love with the Setting Stars"

"
I am a woman In Love with the Setting Stars
(Acrostic)

I                am filled with the universe descending upon me nightly
AM           I dancing with the vast infinite nature of creation or
A               burgeoning, blossoming of a beautiful Earth?
WOMAN  thinks, prays and meditates her breathing
IN            the mystery of newborn stars and changing moons
LOVE      is the perfume of life saturated in mercies
WITH      angels who watch our comings and goings
THE         great Creator is vigilant and keeps his counsel
SETTING the prophets among humankind to teach truth
STARS      witness as women raise their hands in praise! ~

You are the most amazing artist I have read on this site. I spent a lot of time reviewing the classic poets before getting into the new stuff. You belong with the classics. It hurts to come across an artist that produces a work that I could never make.

What a superb layout - it immediately beckons, 'Come read'. As ever your words flow smoothly and softly as if welcomely the reader to a gentle scene where everything's loving and structured in a way that you know for a time, life will be elegant, warm and memory-making. Many thanks for coming back. Sighhhh.
