Cup of Sweetness

Cup of Sweetness

A Poem by Helen Crutchett

Some lines from various Classical Poets Shelly, Blake and others.

"

Cup of Sweetness

Mine eyelids are heavy; my soul seeks repose

And while the face lies quiet there

Secret joys and secret smiles

The cup of the sweetness of life

A fountain at my fond heart's door

Something still remains, a sip of water

Lifted its whisper to my thirsty lips

A cup of sweetness. All of us need a simple taste to make us relearn. We knew love and we shall be okay. Thank you Helena for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome Helena.
i like how you put these together, Helena...
especially the last two..no matter how dry our heart might get, always something or someone offering that saving sip of water.
