CERISE ROSE

CERISE ROSE

A Poem by Helen Crutchett

Cerise Rose

The cerise rose of yesterday
seems sweeter to me now
in our garden of dreams

under rainbow pastel splashes
we paint an Eden of colours fresh
within dreams love shimmers
beyond confines of distance

while my heart's lonely vigil
awaits completion
it’s strange how close
you seem to me tonight

I rest my weary head on sweet
pink fluffy cloud pillows
where in dreams
we touch again…

This reminds me a guy in a long term relationship who looked up into the night sky and said, "We cant even share the same stars." The poem was dreamy. Vivid colors raced through my minds and seemed to soften the edges of some really powerful emotions. kudos.

Absolutely beautiful. Words explain the tapestry of emotions and also the pain underlying it.

the rose representing someone so special who is now gone...and yet the fragrance of that person continues to scent our dreams...
we never forget the days we spent with them in that magic garden of life.

serene longing in this...i am inspired to think of the sailors woman waiting on the shore ...love is shown over and over that it is not constrained to time nor distance ... which oddly enough reminds me of Albert Einstein ...:))
