Sweet BreezeA Poem by Helen CrutchettSweet Breeze Whisper
to me some poem penned
by my poet's gentle hand his lyrics forming the very page of sonnets
sentimental song
I
hang on every lyric of love of
passion’s wanton way dipped
in dewy tears of dawn a
day in June welcomes the
daffodils dainty sway beneath blossom’s heavy bough sweep
across the ocean his kisses from
lips whence he touched my
soul with lilting prose penned under moon light's sweet repose
do
not blow his candle I hold in
my heart with shallow breath
just now I pray forsake
me not my sweet messenger have
mercy in your fanciful flight to
see this woman's fainting heart to
hear her poet’s words of undying
love
brush
the air with mignon
metaphors spectacular
stanzas alliterations
paint
me a picture a
vision sublime where
he doth sit in complete
composure and
sure that he is mine ~
