Will You Dance With Me?

Will You Dance With Me?

A Poem by Helen Crutchett

Will You Dance With Me?

Will you waltz with me in moist midnight air...

Take my hand to the strains of violins'

Without a care?

Our newly discovered fragrant rose garden of Secret delights...

Kissed by moon's bright shining light

Enchanted by the calling of deep

Mystical sounds

At last I've found

Look deep into my eyes as you embrace

my waist so tight...

On a magical carpet ride

This enchanting night

When our dance is through, my dear

Our hearts entwined together its clear....

As we sit at the feet of Eros' enthralling shrine

Our love will out-dazzle the brightest star's shine ~

Hi Helena. I've got to say your title drew me like a magnet, I had had no resistance. As an ex ballroom dancer, your poem reads like a waltz. Violins demanding response, mind playing with the twirls and swirl of sub-melodies while feet move . . . gliding through the garden, so alive with fragrance and starlight. This is the picture you have drawn for me. So undeniably romantic and dreamy, and where better to end?
Loved it, alf
