Resplendent Rhapsody
Memories drifted back today From when she struggled to understand The symphony that was her life
Scattered minuets mingled Minutes with searching for a melody
Feelings blending with staccato Chords of raw emotions Prematurely her resplendent rhapsody
Once resounded in triumphant Crescendo of love’s felicity crumbled
Piece by piece to become Fractured scattered notes Leaving a discord in her sad sonata
Her heart in tangled tones of disillusionment
That was so long ago…
Today she has found her Sweeter song And sings it gratefully as Each tuneful day dawns
A new opera to enjoy She has now earned her dues and is now singing in harmony
With life …
