Heart, we will forget himA Poem by Helen Crutchett
GLOSA Heart, we will forget him!
By Emily Dickenson
*****************************************
Heart, we will forget him With all the power of our might A sorry tale that we could forever write If I did not feel so trite!
You and I, tonight,
Will remember precious
love
The cooing of the gentle
dove The interlude of symphonies song...
You may forget the warmth
he gave I will remember the warm barmy nights sweet blush of a rising moon His sonnets making me swoon...
I will forget the light You can remember the flame I have forgotten now that the candles dimmed and I'm left alone without my poet's love...
