The long and the short of it

The long and the short of it

A Poem by Helen
"

Short thoughts from this morning's walk

"
I can't dance, got no beat,
My mind don't connect to my feet.
But I got mine, it is within,
Comes out in poetic rhythm

this is good - it reads like mine and a lot of others should be read - syllable by syllable and yours as such with its ending of ' rith-him is of the best - and there it is, as you said - the beat is within.

Being a hardcore Eric Clapton fan, I often listen to his music before writing & pray: "please let me write the way he caresses those strings!" Immersing myself in the musicality is a big part of what I love about writing (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
