Dressed

Dressed

A Poem by Hel

Relaxed and open, your face
Is smiling in a way that only makes sense in these moments. Too soon you will stand, stretch your long,
Smooth limbs and casually collect
Your belongings. You will dress again,
Pack a bag and greet the day.
What was familiar and adored
Will become part of someone else's day.
Strange, unknown, unavailable to me.
Dressed you are different.
Protected, less open and in control.
You are man like, more certain, less
Concerned as to the impact of words.
Dressed, I am afraid and anxious,
Knowing that time cannot be stopped.
There is nothing now to keep you
And you walk away without a glance

I find this quite interesting, in the fact that it shows how one moment someone is there and the next gone. In a moment's notice, gone and never to be seen again. Keep up the good work, I've enjoyed your work so far :)

Thanks for the review
The concept of how one changes once the armor comes on is well done. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
