Confession

Confession

A Poem by HeidiMarie Mackey

A rotting corpse once my innocent soul.
A tragic story yet to be told.
I messed up my life i went astray.
Led me here to where i am today.
I can beg, plead, and i can cry.
Cram session with the bible until i die.
It wont change that i tripped and fell.
I will free fall all the way to Hell!
My oldest friend cant u see?
The dogs of Hell have been sent for me.
Tell all the ones that i love
It was stronger than the man above
Tell all the ones who pretend they care.
Thats just life and it isnt fair.
My final words used with my dying breath.
If shared with others gives me eternal rest.
A double standard but yet a quote to be framed.
"The things you think set you free
Are the very things that keep you chained"

Easy to find the road to hell. Hard to know forgiveness.
"The things you think set you free
Are the very things that keep you chained"
The above lines are true. What we want isn't what we need sometimes. Thank you Heidi for sharing the excellent poetry.

Things you think sets you free or keeps you chained- is exactly same as saying that our mind is our best friend and our worst enemy at the same time. We create our own monsters our own nightmares and yet this mind helps us create our beautiful dreams, our fantasies. Well you made your mind an enemy. Nicely presented ✌️
