ImprintA Poem by HeidiMarie Mackey
Leaving your imprint on life, monumental I must agree.
Not everyone gets given a gift for future ages to see. But what about leaving your imprint on the soul of another. Now that my friend is even better than the other. No you won't get your glory and lifetime fame. The whole world won't know or say your name. They won't find you on a shelf with a hard back cover. They won't teach your achievements or wonders you discovered. Unconditional love will be your bank of gold. Undying loyalty as you slowly grow old. A day won't pass where your name isn't said. Every other thought is a picture of you in their head. Endless understanding and strength to lean on. Now that is the Imprint I want to leave when I'm gone! © 2016 HeidiMarie MackeyFeatured Review
