Days EndA Poem by Heavenly Scent
I sat and watched you through the window,
nodding sleepily in the sun.
Your face turned up to catch the last rays,
eyes closed, days work done.
The evening breeze gently ruffled your hair,
its gentle fingers you seemed to feel.
As you sat in solitude and peace, it seemed a shame to call you in for your evening meal.
