Alone

"Have you ever felt alone in a room full of people?"

                     You told me you would never leave,

                        That you would hold on to me

                 You told me I could cry on your sleeve

              No matter what, you would always be there

                     You promised you would not tear 

                             My heart into tiny pieces 

                                  But then one day 

                            You break your promise

                        And you leave me here to cry      

                        The one day I need you badly

                   Is the one day you stomp away madly

                       If I could have one single wish

                               It would be that I 

                       would never be alone again.

Author's Note

I feel like all of my poems so far are sad. I didn't mean for that to happen, but for me writing about sad things is more interesting.
