Storm

Storm

A Poem by WindsorWolf28

I sat outside
As the rain poured down.

Te thunder echoed
In my mind

And the wind swept
my hair around

The lightning struck
Nearby places

And the trees swayed,
Very gracious.

And the birds stopped chirping,
As the sky grew darker.

And the lights went out,
Influenced by fear.

And the lightning illuminated
All that was near.

The grass sang and whistled,
The trees thrashed in wind's mighty grip.

The fish dipped
Below the waves,

And the rain poured out
In all it's grace.

And I stared up,
From my tranquil place
As the drops dripped
On my suspecting face.

It's graceful and yet I kind of get apocalyptic vibes in some of it. Amazing job turning a normal thing into a huge event. Really like this.
