The Call

The Call

A Poem by Heather Leigh
"

A man commits his own death and hears the call to "heaven". He sees his love for the last time and doesn't want to let the moment go. Random thoughts! :)

"
Free falling on a time away from home, off a cloud I land on stones and broken bones. But my heart still beats. Even though my words don't speak. My eyes blank, my body numb, I can barely breathe a word to you. Songs from sirens cast my final breath through. And there I lastly see you. Your hands extend, your body bends to a time that I once knew. The sirens call for me, but I can't leave not now, not yet. Let's cherish the last moment. Before they call again.
