Mirrorside

Mirrorside

A Poem by Heathens
"

That awful feeling of overwhelming helplessness when someone close to you is going through something in life you can't help with.

"

I am watching you, my love,

From the other side of the mirror.

I am the witness to all your pain.

Yet this glass pane I cannot breach

And your heart I cannot reach.

Now you are in the dark, my love,

Suffering on the other side of the mirror.

Where light cannot breathe

And laughter cannot see

And how much of this, I’d like to know

How much of this exactly is due to me.
