Lost World

Lost World

A Poem by Heathens
"

I used to be very lost.

"

YOU BURNED YOURSELF INTO MY BRAIN

I DON’T KNOW WETHER TO RUN OR GIVE IN

YOU LOOKED ME IN THE EYES

YOU HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME NOT TO CRY

AND IN THE END, YOU GAVE ME THE KNIFE

I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME WE MET AND

HOW WE THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO GET MARRIED ONE DAY

YOU SANG CON TE PARTIRO TO ME AND I KNEW YOU WERE CHOKING ON YOUR WORDS

BUT THE TRUTH IS IM GETTING A LITTLE TIRED OF THIS

I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING THINKING MAN I DON’T KNOW IF I CAN GO ON WITH THIS

IM DROWNING IN ANYTHING I CAN JUST TO GET AWAY FROM THIS REALITY

AND IF YOU NEED ME ILL BE DOWN WHERE WE FIRST MET TRYING TO FIND A LITTLE ROOM IN THE LOST WORLD YOU LEFT ME IN
