Chapter Nineteen- My View

Chapter Nineteen- My View

A Chapter by Heartful5160

I watched from up above to see Darin finishing up his last hours at work. It was nice not to see that secretary back in there. It was nice to see that she was gone for good and that she wouldn't be bothering my man any longer.

Darin was home, washing up and getting ready to go to my parents house.

"You know I hope that they will believe you, babe," I said. I was sitting in the bathroom at my vanity, watching him get ready. He reached for his toothbrush and toothpaste. I watched him squirt some out on the bristles of the toothbrush. He ran it under the water and started brushing his teeth, "I'll make them if I have to," he said in between brushes. I walked over to him and stood behind him and intertwined my arms under him and placed my hands on his hard chest. I ran my hands up and down his washboard abs. I absolutely loved them! He looked at me through the reflection on the mirror. I gave him a weak smile and laid my head down on his back, keeping my hands busy on his chest. He spat out his leftover saliva and toothpaste and sat his toothbrush back in the toothbrush holder. He turned my way and held my neck in his hands, " I will do anything and everything I can to make them see. Anything for you," he leaned towards me and our lips attached together. The kiss was more than I can describe. "I know you will. I know how much you love me, baby," I said. I did. I knew he loved me, even when we fought the other day, I still knew that he loved me deep down or he wouldn't even think twice about marrying someone like me. Really, because trust me, it's pretty hard to love someone as complicating as me. He walked over to the closet and pulled over a nice plain red shirt over his nice chocolate washboard abs. I went over and straightened out the shirt, once he got it on, "You look nice, babe. I love red on you," I complimented.

"Thank you, sweetheart. I love red on you too, especially that sexy Christmas lingerie," he said, "I just wish I could get one more time, but I know that's kind of impossible," he laughed.

I looked down at my feet, " Yeah it kind of would be impossible. But at least you can still hold me and kiss me," I gave him a peck.

"Will you ever leave me? Be honest." This was something that I didn't want to talk about. This is something that I wish I could've avoided with him. I should've known it was coming. I looked down and looked back up at him, his expression has changed. "Well, are you going to tell me?" he asked.

"Why do we have to talk about it?"

" Because. I don't want you gone, plus remember the other night you said you would be here forever? Don't you remember that?"

"Yes, I do. But you know, I didn't know that tomorrow night is going to be my last night, Darin," I explained.

"So, you're leaving me on Christmas right? This is how it's going to be?"

"Babe I can't control this. I thought you would understand," I said.

"I see it hard to. Because you are my everything and you're something I don't want to lose. Not at all."

"I can't stop it Darin, I can't. I'm new to all of this death stuff," I said, motioning to my body.

"We both are, obviously."

" Can we not talk about this right now?"

" It's not like we have all week or anything, you know?" he responded.

"Darin please don't do this right now," I hugged him and just laid my head on his chest for awhile. I knew that's one thing that would bring him back down to surface, " For me. Just go to my parents house and I'll see you there alright," I added.

He turned my head up and placed he lifted up my chin and kissed me, "I love you. I'll see you in a bit."

I took myself way over to my parents house and watched above, until Darin got there. My mom was taking a honey roasted ham out of the oven and placed it on the stove top. My dad was in the living room watching the Christmas Parade that was held at DisneyWorld.

"Could you come in here and help me?" my mother yelled to my father from the kitchen. He walked into the kitchen all slumped over, making my mother see that he wasn't really up to helping her. He should. You know that you're still her husband.

"What do you want me to do?" he asked with his hands on his hips.

"First could you quite being like that? It's Christmas Eve and Darin is coming over and you shouldn't be acting like Scrooge," she said. She placed the ham in the oven to keep warm, until Darin arrived. She got out some glasses, " If you don't mind, could you fill the glasses with ice? I tried to find something that wasn't too hard and too complicating for you," she said. She got out plates and silverware and placed them in the right places at the dining room table.

When my father got done filling the glasses, he went back into the living room and got back to the parade. My mother finished up the cooking and setting the table. That's when I knew Darin was on his way, because the doorbell had rung.
