Chapter Sixteen- Darin's ViewA Chapter by Heartful5160It was great to see Jessica's pale face in the morning, after Ihad a whole night filled with nightmares about her. I was scared thatshe was never going to see her anymore. In my dream she officiallyleft and never came back. I woke up to a beautiful face and a sweetkiss. So, it was a relief to see her when she awoke me. " Darin," she whispered, " Good morning," she said. " It's good to see you," I reached for a kiss. " How are you this morning?" she asked. " Good and you?" " Great. You have a surprise waiting for you down in the kitchen." " Oh' I do?" " Yeah,"I got up and went into the bathroom to dress myself for work. I wasguessing that Jessica had faded out again to where ever. I hopped inthe shower and back out in no time, to see Jessica sitting on thebar stool in the bathroom. It was so sexy to watch her get ready there every morning. She would brush her hair just right. She wouldn'tbrush it too rough or too soft. Just right. And she looked beautiful, while doing so. She was sitting on the stool with her legs crossedover, watching me come out of the shower, with my towel on. " Will you ever get mad if my bathroom necessities were on yourside of the bathroom?" she asked, when I stepped into the closet, tosearch for a outfit. " No, why ask?" I pulled off a red Ralph Lauren shirt off the hanger. " Because while you were in the shower, I was watching over myparents and they're not happy. At all." " What? They seem like they are when there over here and aroundus," I mentioned. I wrapped the shirt over my arm, so I could havean extra hand to look for a pair of pants. "I know, I know. I noticed that too. My mother was yelling at myfather about having his things on her side of the bathroom. I mean Iwas used to that when I was growing up and my mother just blewup at him today. There getting a divorce, Darin." I turned around inshock to the news. This must be a bad time for her right now. " Wow." " Yeah. I need to save them. Their love. I know my father sill lovesher." " He said he don't?" I found a pair of pants and walked out of the closet and put the clothes on. " Yeah. If you can read between the lines. He said he stopped lovingher when she stopped respecting herself. The only reason why he'sstill around is because of me." " He didn't want you to worry about them, like you are now." " That's it, Darin. If I could just tell them that I know that there nothappy, they'll stay together. For me." " That's going to be unbelievable for them," I said. I pulled out mytoothbrush and started to brush my teeth, when I decided that Ishould tell her about what happened with me and Ms.Linely. " Let'sgo over there, after you get off of work," she suggested. " I like that plan. But there's something I should tell you that's beenbothering me for awhile." " What is it?" " I slept with my assistant the other day." " You what?" she yelled. " Yeah. She came onto me and I took it. I couldn't help myself." " So you're unhappy, Darin? I don't please you?" " No, no I'm not. I'm sorry. It's not going to happen anymore, nowthat I know that you can see me." " So, you were planning on doing it again?" " No. Well I don't know." " I can't believe you, Darin. I thought you loved me!" " I do, baby, I do." " No you don't or you wouldn't have done that in the beginning. Ican't believe you right now, Darin. I'm just beside myself. Youfooled me too, just like my parents." " It's not going to happen again. I swear." " I can't believe you. I can't. It's hard to." "I know, but were not even married." " Did you really just say that? Then what's the point of gettingmarried then?" she asked with anger in her voice, " For fun? Forentertainment? What? What was your idea for having a wedding?" " I love you, I do. It was just a mistake. People make mistakes inlife. And why are you getting so bin out of shape after I forgave youfor what you did?" I knew I hit the hammer on the nail on that one.Just by her facial expression. " I'm sorry. But it was after you foundout, Darin," she said in a calm voice. " She just came onto me, okay and it's not going to happen again andif you don't believe me, watch me with your own eyes, literally." " I'm sorry," then she did what she always did after we wouldresolve an issue. She reached for a kiss. " I am too," I replied, " Youknow what good came out of that?" " What?" " Was that this conversation was real, like you." " Very funny. Now you need to go get your coffee that I made foryou and get on with work. I love you. Have a good day. Remember Ican just pop in at any moment. Possibly uninvited." " I like uninvited in my office," I joked. " I bet you do. But really you better tell that girl or woman, whoevershe is, that she better keep her hands off of my man or I will and weboth know that, that would be kind of embarrassing to the both of us,huh?" " Defiantly. I'll tell her, right when I get into the office. I'll pull herinto my office and guess what you can watch if you want to." " Good. Now, scurry along, baby, before your late." I watched herdisappear for the millionth time and I went downstairs to make mycoffee. She was my angel and no one can say any different. I walked into my office to see Ms. Linely smiling harder thanever, " Good morning," I said. " Good morning. I need to tell you that the Christmas party istonight," she informed me. " Yeah. I know. I don't know if I wanna come. We'll see." " Oh', well it would be a pleasure to see you here with everyoneelse, you know? It's Christmas time." " Yeah, well I'm not really in the spirit. I just lost my fiance'." " Yeah. Sometimes relationships never work out. There's someoneout there just for you," She didn't know what I meant and that'sfunny, because most people think that their loved one had died whenthey say something like that. "No, she passed yesterday." " Oh' my gosh." © 2015 Heartful5160 |
