Just A Thought!

This is just a short piece.

     

Every morning I start a new day in my warm cozy house. I have breakfast waiting for me in the cabinets. I have an accessible bathroom to use, when needed. It’s all a leisure and a blessing to have. But don’t you think that there are people out there that don’t have that? People that are hurting and weeping to have that? There are and what do we do about it?

     When I really look and think about the people that are homeless or have no other place to go, there’s quite a few. 100 million people just around the world are homeless. I know we try to do what we can to help out, like providing shelter and food for them, but it is that enough? Do we look beyond the pages of hurt and want?

I usually tend to think about this alot and since here in El Salvador you see homeless people at the end of every corner, I just wish I could give kids that are poor or those persons education to be someday great womens or mans, It's true that there a lot of people out there suffering, and believe it or not, I feel really bad for them because they didn't deserve to be in the state.
Another powerful piece, I like your writing style, It makes me think.

Thank you very much. I love to get people thinking. But when there are people that are hurting, it makes me hurt. i'm only sixteen years old and I can only do so much for people at this age, but when I turn 18, just know that I'm going to be out of my house and helping people that are in need.

What do you do about it? Have you brought any of them back to your place for a shower and a meal yet?

Well, I'll be honest with you, I can't really do much of anything at the moment, because I'm underage to make anything serious, but my mother said that when I turn 18, I can start working on my dream. But, I try to do everything I can. Like at school, trust me, I hang out with may be not the best of people, but I get a feel for them and then I try to help them out in life and show them the right path. My mother doesn't want me doing much, because she wants me to focus on school at the time. But wait till the world sees me and the change I will make. Three more years is coming up in a heartbeat and I can't wait, till I turn 18!

I love this! A deep touching write! I too have seen it first hand close to El Salvador. Back when I was younger my dad was stationed over in that area. But at a young age to see that. It hurt, it brought much appreciation but that hurt to see kids your age have it like that. I like this piece you've written to spread more awareness! I hate to see kids in critical condition, because they don't have something so simple, such as water or warm clothes or food to fill their stomachs.
