THE HIDDEN MONSTER

THE HIDDEN MONSTER

A Poem by Akira

Smiling sweetly into my eyes;
Are you the monster that I despise?
Beauty forms in your words;
Only to fall, like a house of cards.
Tell me again how you don't want to hurt;
And yet you'll hurt me knowing it makes me feel like dirt.
Either way I'll still be standing.

I realize I left a letter out of my acrostic. I did write it at 3am, so hopefully I can fix that up and still have it make sense!

Hi HT.
I wouldn't mind the acrostic amendment: your poem succeeds already, IMO.

I admire your resolve in facing such a monster. I think only a wide awake and solid heart could do that.

Thanks for sharing.

Very well written. No matter what happens that is right you keep standing. I think you have put this together very well.
