The War on Mediocrity

The War on Mediocrity

A Poem by Brennen H
"

Two stanzas is all it takes to explain why I'm tired of wasting my time and want to accomplish something special every day.

"
A shallow life, a hollow day
A morning lost, given way
To great a cost, too much to pay
Pay for the aching noon

This time is given without much to give
To a living I have yet to live.
I have lost the day but what if
The night comes much too soon?

Can you think of a more appropriate title? Any advice on managing punctuation throughout a poem?
