Mr Widget And His Rainbow Windmill In The SkyA Poem by Marcus R V FielderDid you ever wonder where rainbows come from? Another portfolio piece. After the inital idea i decided that the rhyme scheme should be AABBCCDD and so on, so that it was boucny, lyrical, like a nursery rhyme, which fits well with it's subject matter :)Did you ever see an odd cloud in the sky? that floated past, without others near by? a peculiar shape, that was far from white, it seemed to be painted, colourful and bright? chances are it’s Mr. Widget, in his rainbow windmill in the sky, it got bored on the ground one day and decided to fly, it took to the air with a whizz and a whir, twirling its fan blades like a helicopter, it flipped and turned up onto its side, taking Mr. Widget along for the ride, Mr. Widget laughed, and said “What fun!” “A wonderful adventure has just begun” he leapt from his bed and looked out his door, and said to himself, “Golly, I’ve never been this high before” he picked up his paints, as he said “But this won’t do” “The sky should be more than just plain old blue” so he opened his window, and out he leant, and painted bright rainbows, wherever he went.
