The Sea

The Sea

A Poem by Marcus R V Fielder

Enigmatic dreams founded on silver-lined clouds

sunlight glimmer,

on water-top shimmer

chaos of lightening and blinding glint.

Reflections distorted and skin wrinkled.

weightlessness abounds,

penetrable ceiling and

sandy floor.

sphere of vision

yet eyes are stung

by vicious acidic,

and salt on the tongue.

Blue makes the boy

and foam on top, the whisps and curls of grey hair.

Black as pitch and full of stars that make the night sky,

dotted with comets,

and jellyfish moons.
