Grand exit

Grand exit

A Poem by Kitten92

Draining the last ounce of blood from her veins,
he withdrew his drenched fangs,
realizing what he has done,
the color from her cheeks..gone,
her beautiful eyes now dull with an empty soul,
she lay limp and the love that fate has stolen,
Remains in pieces in his heart,
he waits till sunrise,
Till the light shines through the skies,
He falls to his knees,
and his grip on her mangled body begins to ease,
the sun comes over the horizon,
and the process has too quick begun,
his skin starts to burn,
Even though his heart still yearns,
to gaze at her vacant eyes,
he decided to embrace demise,
flames ignite through his body,
and in his last moment a thing long lost to him,
a tear falls down with impending doom so grim,
he bursts into ashes,
they reunited again, in eternity.

Sort of an odd twist on Romeo and Juliet . . . sorry, bad joke. It's nice to see the vampire had a conscience. That's something, at least

I normally don't like things about vampires and what not but this was really good and I enjoyed it.
