A Chapter by Havatara

Dear Lucy,

Well, nothing really interesting happened.  She moved in with her family in Illinois for a while, but then she met her grandfather, fell in love, and together they moved to Minnesota and started farming.

Sara kept her promise.  About three years after the incident at the Underground, she tracked down Julia and they were friends for years.  Julia had been hoping that Thomas would be with Sara, but Sara said that he had went missing, much like her uncle had.

Thomas didn’t actually go missing, though.  He found Julia’s uncle.  He had been in hiding in China.  China, of all places!  Thomas took him to America and reunited him with his niece.  When Thomas saw that Julia was happily married and settled, he decided not to stay, even though he still loved her.  He loved her very much.

However, he met someone else and settled down in Wisconsin.  That’s Thomas Duncan Shoenbornerson III’s grandmother.  They lived there happily, until they got news that the Mainlanders had followed them to America, and they had to run away.  Again.

That’s all that happened, really.  Not all that mysterious, is it?

Love, Safiya
