A Chapter by Havatara

September 11, 1859

Dear Lucy,

Of course you can move in with Agnes!  If you can, you should move in tomorrow.  And now I see what you meant by not having to apologize to Duncan anymore.  I’m glad that you two are talking again.

Yes, it is official.  My sources tell me that the Shusters have gone to the other side of the Mississippi.  Your grandmother has a second cousin in Oregon, so they’re going to go there I believe.

No, Sara never aged.  She’s still in the body of a young girl, even though she feels like an old woman.  She is almost three hundred years old.

How have you been feeling lately?  Are all your wounds healed?

Sincerely, Safiya

The remaining letters are going to be shorter, I think. No more 3-paged chapters.
