September 7, 1859A Chapter by HavataraSeptember 7, 1859 Dear Lucy, Jaime’s a mainlander. I never would have guessed that. He seemed so sweet and innocent. Well, so did Frederick, I guess. Well, I just hope that you’re doing okay. Don’t stress yourself out that much. I’m assuming you went through a lot in that tunnel. While you were away I did some research on Duncan. I couldn’t really find much, except what you said. He graduated high school two years early, and then finished his three years at University. Now he’s a teacher in you school district. Did school really start two weeks ago? Have you gone yet? I believe you don’t actually have to go anymore, but your grandmother said that she hoped you would continue with school. She said that education is the key to having a bright future. Other than that, Duncan is a very invisible person. The only other thing I could find was that his grandfather immigrated from Ireland about twenty years after your grandmother did, so his parents were already born when they came. That’s the only thing I could find about him. Have you apologized to Duncan yet? I’m sure it must have slipped your mind, and it’s really not all that important anymore, I don’t think. Write to me soon! Sincerely, Safiya © 2010 Havatara |
