A Chapter by Havatara

August 17, 1859

Dear Lucy,

How about this.  I’ll tell you what happens after Julia got to America when you apologize to Duncan.

I’m working on it.  Agnes isn’t a very active woman, so no one I’ve asked knows her.  I think I might go and meet the woman myself soon.

I wouldn’t be very worried about meeting Jaime today.  He’s a sweet boy.  You’ll be fine.

Write soon to tell me what happened.

Love, Safiya

Dear Lucy,

Lucy, are you okay?  I haven’t heard from you in a few days.  Write back to me as soon as you can.

Sincerely, Safiya

August 26, 1859

Dear Lucy,

Lucy, are you mad at me for not telling you?  If you are, you are being ridiculous.  Just respond, please.  I don’t bite!

Sincerely, Safiya

August 31, 1859

Dear Lucy,

If you don’t reply soon, I’m going to start a manhunt for you.  If it comes to it, I’ll come to the MacJohn’s house and see you myself.  I really need to talk to you, Lucy.  What happened with Jaime?

Your worried friend, Safiya

Oho, what a thrilling little ride Julia had! I enjoyed the ending (unlike Lucy) and I would like to see this finished, please. It's great.
