Rushing RiverA Poem by HavataraThere once was a river in a far away place that outflew the binds of time and space. The water was clear and an amazing blue that crashed on the banks with waves anew. This river rushed forward quickly, with speed. There was no stopping for it took its own lead. It sped past the wind and up through the clouds, and was unhindered by such as life’s burial shrouds. But all at once it stopped and froze. The waves drew up in a curious pose. The water rushed inward all cold and dreary, and it was no longer a river, not even nearly. The rushing river was no more but have no worry, I implore, for this little bit of simple prose ends with the beginning of a blooming rose. © 2010 HavataraAuthor's Note
