Unknown Existence

Unknown Existence

A Poem by Havatara

The clouds cover
the roaming sky,
painting shadows
across the lonely sea.

Rain falls down,
disturbing the surface.
The seabird flies high,
escaping to the heavens.

The hurricane of destruction
rips up our world.
Its name is unknown,
but its mission was clear.

Who sent this death wind?
There is no answer,
but its rain pours down
and down and down.

We sit together
and gaze at the sky
wondering why we’re there
unable to do anything.

The answer is simple.
We are there to be.
