Part XXIV

    Angus had stayed inside all day, glued to the TV in childish wonder.  If the arrival of intelligent life could have been kept secret, the subsequent world tour would have been no match for powers that be.  YouTube videos, Facebook updates and news organizations around the world tracked the craft's location at every turn.  The day had come and gone and he was burning the midnight oil watching for more sightings.
    "Naw wom'n, I'n n'arnt seen it it yet.  They'n last saw it in Wa-kicky annowitz gone."  The news flashed to other sitings from around the world.  Germany, London, Bermuda, Rio de Janeiro, and finally Waikiki Beach, Hawaii.  "Naw they'n n'arnt said a peep 'bout dat boy.  I'n nawt sure they'n knows what he'n been upta either.  But I'n knowed.  I seent 'em Emma.  I seent 'em on tha news and as sure as I'n know I'm Angus Jef'son, I'n know what he'n been upta alliss time.  'At I do..."
    The night rolled on in Angus' livingroom lit by the glare of his television and he sat eagerly in his white undershirt and boxers talking to his dead wife.  It wasn't until after 3am that he finally fell asleep.
