Vindication

Vindication

A Poem by Haunzwürthe
"

Another one from the vault. Teenager revolution, court, custody, truancy, blah. Old times...

"
Are all these problems in my life
bound to me with pain and strife?
Am I so bad deserving hate
that my side isn't worth the wait?

You rant and yell with bitter names
and swear that I'm the one to blame.
I cannot talk; I always lie.
You won't listen; I don't know why.

A day will come when I speak my piece;
all you've done will be released.
My pain and grief from those past years
will haunt the silence in your ears.

What judgment follows I can't guess;
I only hope to get some rest.
I'll take my leave, now resolute
to finally get away from you.
