The ShowerA Poem by HaunzwürtheIf you cannot laugh at yourself, you cannot begin to take yourself seriously.I was scared. No other way to put it really. Lying in the tub, water splashing down, I was paralyzed by the fear of being broken. Was this it?
Everyone has scars, some beyond control, some by accident, others by stupidity. Each scar with a story of it's own. Is this my story? I can't possibly fathom bearing the brunt of shower jokes for years to come.
Yet here I lay frozen in fear. I had fallen in the shower, convinced myself of a broken leg, and all the while I hear my wife laughing hysterically from outside. © 2011 HaunzwürtheReviews
